Fridge on the Fritz PDF Print E-mail

I awoke a couple of days ago to a strange "Beep, beep, beep" coming from the front of the bus.  Instinctively I knew it could not be good.  Sherlock Holmes that I am, I quickly noticed that the display on the fridge was alternating the squared-off letters NO and CO.  NO CO?  What do you mean, NO CO?  It's your job to be CO!  I opened it and my suspicions were confirmed.  It wasn't CO.
Bummer.  We had just gotten groceries.

Trying not to sound panicked, I woke the Captain up, who is also the Maintenance Supervisor.  Thank God he can fix just about anything.  In the meantime, I think the fridge was feeling guilty and was trying desperately to fix itself.  There were big heaving sighs coming from behind the doors.  All that served to do was make me feel like I needed to break out some big coolers full of ice and prepare for the worst.

After about an hour online the Maintenance Supervisor headed outside with his trusty toolbox to take off the access panel to the fridge and get busy.  I'm not exactly sure what he did, but it worked.  The NO CO is gone for now, and the Diet Coke is once again cold.  The journey can continue.

Gina,
We are going through Columbus in June. We'd love to hear your brother's suggestions for what to do in the area! God has been very good to the boys. Everywhere we've been they have made new friends, but they still miss their friends at home. Playmates are so important!

J, D & Boys:

I am very glad that you were able to get the fridge fixed! I would hate to think of you having to drink warm Diet Coke on the road! I have been keeping up with you from your friends at church! We miss you all! M took your article from the commercial appeal to school for her current event a few weeks ago! This was the most excited she has ever been about a current event! If you happen to be going through the Columbus Ohio area, I have some contacts there that I am sure would be glad to let you visit and relax...my brother lives there and has 2 boys about M & G's ages and I am sure would love to let the boys get together!
