legoland.jpgWe finally rode a real rollercoaster (the boys, I mean).  Where?  At the only amusement park on our tour...Legoland.  Really, with two boys, 7 and 8, how could we not go to Legoland?  It was fantastic.  The rides were thrilling but not scary.  There was enough variety to entertain all of us for a full day.  And best of all, they got to leave with Legos!  Legos are the perfect toys for traveling in a motorhome.  They don't take up much room.  They store easily in plastic containers with lids.  Those containers can be moved from RV to car and back without trouble.  And, they are ageless…even Daddy loves them.

Seriously though, we have taken the kids to a lot of history related museums, monuments and battlefields.  They have never complained - not once.  Their general attitude is, "What are we doing today?"  Very flexible.  But sometimes you have to throw in things just for fun; things that you can't tie to history or culture or science, no matter how far you stretch.  It keeps everyone happy.  Legoland definitely did the trick.
