This past month our journey has taken us to several great
places – friends’ houses, TV studios, and most importantly, St. Louis where
Lewis and Clark and the Corp of Discovery started their incredible expedition
across the country to explore the newly purchased Louisiana territory. While we were in St. Louis we visited the Museum of Westward
Expansion, located at the base of the Gateway Arch, and began reading “Going
Along with Lewis and Clark” by
Barbara Fifer. Through this book we have
learned about the brave Corp of Discovery and the amazing Sacagawea. In this month’s newsletter, we highlight St.
Louis and its many family-friendly (and affordable) activities. It’s the perfect place for a family
vacation! For those of you teaching your
children along with us, we’ll pass along two great Lewis and Clark lesson plans
focusing on taxonomy and mapmaking. And
finally, for those of you wishing you were on the road, we have some
suggestions for how you can earn a living while traveling. Who knows, maybe this newsletter will be the
jumpstart to your family’s RV journey!
