As we have traveled we have visited many of the nation’s top
rated science and natural history museums.
All of them present evolution as a fact, and purport that our origin is
in a big bang. Never is the idea of intelligent
design even mentioned, although in reality both evolution and intelligent
design require a step of faith to believe. Why is it so easy to believe in random life but not in a
loving God? Why is evolution taught as
fact, presented in the museums as fact, and intelligent design never even
mentioned as an alternative?
The new movie “Expelled”
with Ben Stein takes a closer look at the closed-mindedness of American
universities regarding any idea other than evolution. Doctors and professors are being fired for
arguing the case of creationism. This
week we visited a museum that does more than just argue the case. They present a credible alternative to
evolution in a state of the art facility. I’m talking about the Creation Museum just outside of
Cincinnati, OH. The children were
captivated by the dinosaur exhibits, the huge Ark replica, the walk through
Eden and the dragon movie. It was
refreshing for me not to have to counter everything they were reading with,
“but God’s Word says”. This museum is
done by Answers in Genesis , who makes science curriculum for
homeschoolers. If you’re in or near Cincinnati,
add this museum to your list of must-see attractions. It is so unique and so well done you won’t
want to miss it!
