H- you're better than a guide book! Can I take you with me?

We just made a similar homeschooling rv trip! I used to live in Richmond and went to college at WM&M!

Did you document your trip anywhere that we can read about it? What did you travel in? I'd love to hear how it went. And, PLEASE stick around to make suggestions for the rest of the trip. You could be our fairy God-mother/mentor...no pressure

Our homeschool family has traveled to all 50 states in the last 12 years. What a wonderful way to learn!
While near Richmond, be sure to go to Williamsburg! It's our favorite Living History museum ever!

Thank you for the links - great information and I loved reading about your travels, particularly Alaska. I've always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise. Sounds like you had lots of fun (and learned a lot along the way!)

I am looking at buying tickets to Williamsburg, Jamestown, etc. There is a National Parks ticket:
This seven day pass includes Colonial Williamsburg, all of Colonial National Historical Park (Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield), Virginia's living-history museums - Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center and Busch Gardens.
Many of you have mentioned that some of these places are free. Is it worth buying the ticket?
