We plan on using curriculum when we hit the road. We'll be using Math-U-See, Character Quality Language Arts (CQLA teaches reading, composition, spelling, grammar, penmenship, and character development through Biblical study and historical figures), American History (we're just beginning All American History), plus we'll fill in any gaps with Switched-On-Schoolhouse (which includes English, Social Studies, Science, Math, Bible). We're currently looking for a Science curriculum - and are looking at Apologia.

We homeschool year-round, so if we don't get it all done when its supposed to be, it will still be worked through eventually.

I have no idea if we'll stick to the plan or not. But its a guideline. I imagine we'll get a lot of history and composition and maybe science in the first year after we the road that we have not done in the past - focused on locations we visit.

I don't know about you, but we prefer the curriculum to be Bible based, if possible, and one that leads to independent study. We also prefer to have it teach to children of different learning styles, so we can ensure they are all using the same one but still learning without struggling. So far, it seems to be working. The more we do it, the better we do it.

Acts 17:26-27a From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him...

We have used several of the same resources. Last year we used Apologia Astronomy. The boys enjoyed it and I thought it was easy to teach from. We did several fun projects. I would recommend it.

We use Math-you-see (or Matthew C) . We have used it for years.

We also use Apologia Science. I taught the HighSchool Apologia Physics at homeschool coop last year. It is good stuff. The labs work, it highlights the Christian beliefs of these famous scientists/inventors.

My kids are younger, so we do their smaller subjects like Machines in Motion, The Human Body. Stuff like that. We've also done TOPS in the past. TOPS Corn and Beans and Electricity and Magnetism. Good stuff and fun too.

We're going year-round this year. Just ended our year last week. Starting the next year in the middle of may after the homeschool book fair.
