It’s here! My husband closed the deal on the motorhome, signed the papers, and got the official “this is how it works” tour a couple of days ago. Now it is sitting, larger than life, in our driveway, and I’m thinking, “What have we gotten ourselves into?”

Seeing the bulk of it in the driveway makes the whole trip suddenly go from abstract to real. Up until now it’s been a lot of planning and preparing. Not much to show for it. But all I have to do is walk out the door and I am reminded - we are really leaving – really soon.

Will the kids enjoy it or will we have to drag them around the country? Will we get along? Who will they play with? Will we be able to stick to the budget? Will I have any time alone with my husband? Will I find a pizza place that delivers to an RV?

STOP! Deep breath….

The answer to every question is: I don’t know. We won’t know until we’re there. We call that – ADVENTURE! And that’s what we signed up for. No matter what, it’s going to be an experience to remember, and I’m OK with that.
